Dance-Off Rules
Only the Grand Champion
winners in each of the Master team dance (standing line, precision,
exhibition, etc.) categories will be eligible for the Dance-Off. The
Overall Master First Place Team will be selected to represent their
category in the Dance-Off. A team can only qualify once. If a
director has two or more teams qualify for the Dance-Off and those
teams are made up of 50% or more dancers of the other team, then the
director of the qualifying teams must decide which team competes in
the Dance-Off.
If a team has won First
Place in two qualifying categories, they will be required to choose
which category they wish to represent in the Dance Off. If
this occurs, the Second Place team in the un-chosen category will
then be eligible for the Dance Off. If that Second Place team has
already qualified in another category, then the Third Place team
will move into the open slot. If the Third Place team has already
qualified in another category, then that category will not be
represented in the Dance Off.
Music
This year we have
purchased two variable speed CD players so that while one team is
performing, the next team can pre-check the speed of their music.
